WOMENS WAY Panel on Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). Domestic and dating violence, or IPV is a global crisis that has short- and long-term effects that negatively impact the independence and economic security of survivors. More than 27% of women in the U.S. have experienced sexual violence,
physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime, compared to 11% of
men. And studies show that 74% of survivors report staying with an abuser for economic reasons.
This panel, held from 4-5:50, will explore the intersections of intimate partner violence and the
