February Program Meeting: Equality NOW
Our February Program topic is: Equality NOW. One hundred years after passage of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution which gave women the right to vote, thanks to the efforts of chapter namesake, Alice Paul, the goal of equality remains elusive. Passage of the Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution (written by Alice Paul) would further ensure equality but that has not yet happened despite heroic efforts by women’s rights activists for more than 90 years.
