Equal Pay Day
Equal Pay Day. This date symbolizes how far into the year women must work to earn what men earned in the previous year.Because women earn less, on average, than men, they must work longer for the same amount of pay. The wage gap is even greater for women of color. For more information, get the National Committee on Pay Equity’s Equal Pay Day Kit or go to www.pay-equity.org/day.html. Wear RED on Equal Pay Day to symbolize how far women and minorities are “in the red” with their pay!
